Meebo.com Virtual Messanger Simulator

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

The website Meebo.com offers a way to use Msn, yahoo, and even AIM without downloading any programs. The program simulates all these programs exactly the same as the downloaded versions. It is even possible to use all the smileys. The best feature in my opinion is that the simulator allows individual windows for each messanger. This comes in Handy when sitting in an internet cafe or when trying to talk to your friends at work.

The Cheapest VOIP Program

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

I would like to follow up on my last post. I wrote that JustVoip is nothing so special and it functions just like all the other Voip programs, however after I used it today, I discovered that I could call German Cellphones for completely free. Normally this costs at least 20 cents per minute with most phone companies. However, with this service, I didn’t pay anything. Not only that, but if I would have, the rate would have been only 8 cents per minute. This is rate is better than I’ve seen anywhere else.

After a second attempt at trying to dial German Cell Phones, the service has forbid me to do it again. However, normally land line call are always free as well as long list of countries. The list can be found here. At least normal calls are still free and if you subscribe, the rates are some of the best.

An easy way to make free International Calls

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

Using JustVoip is an easy way to make both domestic and international calls for free. Using this free service it is possible to make a free call using your cell phone, computer, or home phone. The website is very easy to use. It goes step by step through the process of making the free call. First simply type in the telephone number, then choose which method to place the call, home phone, cell, or computer.

Overall this program is no diferent than any of the other “free” call providers. Even the downloaded program looks exactly the same as the Internet Calls program. The other negative is that free calls are limited to five minutes unless you purchase minutes.

Meizu vs the Apple Iphone

Sunday, June 17th, 2007

In China, they figured out a way to clone not only brand name clothes and medicine, but now they are trying to mimic our beloved apple products.

The Chinese phone is extremely close in style and features to Apple’s device but shows clear differences. Where the iPhone has polished metal only around the front border and uses scratch-proof aluminum for the back, the Meizu clone opts for the chrome-effect surface across all but the very front.

Price? The 4GB model with built-in camera will go for $310 while the 8GB version will go for $400. The entry-level model (with no camera) will go for only $195 at 4GB and $285 at 8GB. Compare that to the iPhone’s $499/$599 price.
