Google Adsense in RSS Feed, Google Adsense for Feeds

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

If your RSS feed is already powered by Feedburner, you are in luck, Google’s purchase of Feedburner way back when, is finally taking some step forwards, with the combination of Google Adsense and Feedburner.  With Google Adsense for feeds, you’ll be able to customize your ads, and using your feedburner account, allow ads to be displayed in your Feedburner RSS feeds.

So far I’ve heard positive reports from publishers who have monetized their feeds. It seems to be a great way to earn extra cash from your feed.  For those who publisher their full rss feed, this might be a great way to earn extra cash from adsense from those who read only rss feed and don’t visit your actual blog.

Steps to Migrate Feedburner to Google

To migrate all of your feeds, and your account from feeds.feedburner.com to Google, email adsense-support-aff@google.com and provide them with, 1)Your FeedBurner Username 2)Your Google Account Email used for Adsense.

Google will then take the steps tp migrate your account and afterwards, contact you with specific steps for you to follow once migration is complete.

My Review Of InfoLinks, InfoLinks Text to Ad

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

I’ve been using InfoLinks for about 3 days now, and so far it’s been a good switch.  This short review of InfoLinks, is not just to “praise” InfoLinks, it is more of a lesson in using click ad programs.

I made the switch to InfoLinks after I noticed my Chitika advertising was getting less and less of a return.  A few factors might have been the fact that the Chitika linx script was loading slower and slower.  My average earning per ad click was diminishing the longer I used it.

I switched to InfoLinks to compare the results next to Chitika.  So far I’ve noticed higher returns, and an ad script that loads faster and is less annoying than Chitika’s. If I would review InfoLinks, Chitika, and Kontera together, I would give InfoLinks the highest review, as o this point.  When my earnings per thousand starts to drop, I might have a diferent story to tell.

My advice?  Experiment with adprograms.  If you start to notice earnings lowering, try switching ad companies.  If you notice your new ad company starting to dwindle, try switching back.

Infolinks Text To Link Ad Program

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I’m trying out infolinks, a new text to link program that helps turn your text into links.  I’ve been using Chitika for awhile, but the longer I use it, it feels as though my ad earnings start to dwindle.

So my response?  Try a new text to link program like infolink, maybe I’ll start earning more, if not I’ll switch it back.

Like any new ad program, it’s best to experiment with as many as you can, until you find the highest paying solution for your blog. It might not be Google Adsense.e

Why Don’t You Earn Money Online?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Since I started syndicated full feeds with BustaBlog.com I see many blogs that simply don’t earn money online.  Why?  There are plenty of factors and reasons why a blog won’t earn money online.  Of course we need to keep in mind not everyone cares about the ability to earn money online.  They make webpages for fun and leave it at that.  But, I think everyone deserves something for their work.  Work should be fun, but you deserve to earn money for your work too…

1. Poor Ad Placement = Earn Less Money Online

The biggest factor I’ve noticed is the ad placement of google advertisements.  Sometimes I have to actually look to find them.  If you have one ad at the bottom of your page or just an ad on your sidebar, almost no one is going to click them! Some of my website are pratically landmines of ads.  I have in text advertising, in post ads on the top left, bottom and a big picture ad on the sidebar.

2. No traffic = No money?

So many blogs out there do not social submit their websites that no one ever ends up finding their websites.  Use Propeller, Digg, Reddit, and spread the news.  This will give you additional backlinks and of course… traffic!

3. No Site SEO = Earn Less Money Online?

How many no traffic sites, don’t use some of the SEO golden rules?  So many people wrote titles to their post that have nothing to do with the content of their post?  If you remember back to grade school, the title of your paper should be a good overall sumary of what is contained within the article.  Hey Guys! Is a terrible way to title a post.  How about, how to have a great Saturday?
