Getting Motivated, Easy Motivation Tips

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Do you ever feel there is a need to get motivated, that there is this motivated person dwelling inside you ready to unleash onto the world?

Anchoring Motivation to a Trigger
Tony Robbins talks a lot about motivation.  According to Tony one of the keys to motivation is something called state management.  This is basically anchoring your emotions to some sort of physical trigger.  When Tony pounds on his chest, he is essentially trigger his feeling of motivation.  They key is to tie in some sort of physical action with the feeling of motivation.  This may even mean hitting your fists together or simply butting your tongue, who knows.

Intellectual Motivation
You might set a goal to increase your website traffic by 20%.  But, is there some sort of intellectual level of thinking that is stopping you?  Maybe you don’t even really like making websites at all.  If you try to become successful at activities you don’t enjoy, your chances of successful motivation to achieve them will be minimal. If you are cook at a restaurant, but all you want to do is be a musician’s, your attempts at successful cooking may be frazzled simply because it’s not really what you want to do.

If you try to set a goal in your activity, yet you really long to do something else, your mind is going to fight against you.

Why Am I Unmotivated
If you feel like you are fighting against yourself, ask yourself simply “Why am I feeling unmotivated to achieve this goal?”.   Make a list of reasons which may be working against you.  Maybe you’re just letting some simple fears or excuses from holding you back.

How Manage Your Negative Feelings to Succeed

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Negative Feelings can keep you from achieving the success you deserve.  By managing these negative feelings inside we can become more successful and turn our negative feelings into positive energy for striving harder to succeed.

“It’s sunny outside, but inside it’s raining.”  Unfortunately we can be our own destroyers.  We act illogically, often letting our feelings control our actions rather than our brains.

You are in charge
You are the one in charge of your life.  You are in charge of you health, your thoughts, your actions, no one else.  This also means that you are, ultimately, the one in charge of your own happiness.  Unfortunately, most people take in all the emotions that have effected them throughout their life created a big emotional wall that often hinders success and leaves you unwilling to take new risks.

Breakdown Your Emotional Wall
This emotional wall you’ve built up might leave you afraid to act in a certain way for fear of feeling the same way again. Such instances: Afraid of dating because you’ve been hurt.  Afraid of going to the beach because you’ve been called fat.  Afraid of drawing because someone said your work sucks.  This wall of negative emotions might be hard to climb over, but we can do it piece by piece by confronting these negative emotions.

Confronting Negative Emotions
Use these negative feelings as your strength.  Instead of simply using these negative experiences and feelings to get you feeling glum, use them as a reason to work harder.  If you were called fat, use those emotions to feed your hunger to lose weight.  Someone said your drawings suck?  Use your negative emotions to work even harder.

Constantly Improve Your Blog, Blog Improvement

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Are you satisfied with your blog?  Think your blog needs no more Improvement.  If so, then your website is doomed.  Are you someone who just believes that you’re never going to get better?  Or do you strive to constantly improve your blog?

Strive for your blog’s improvement
I believe that the minute you become satisfied is the minute you lose.  Just think, every year new car models are being introduced, computers get upgraded, fashion sense changes, all in a need to constantly improve.  It’s those companies that don’t continue to innovate and change that lose out in the long run.  Think of it as a chasing as a cheetah chasing it’s prey.  The fastest cheetah gets the prey, the others starve.

Film Camera Stores
Stores that deal in old technology, and don’t grow and adapt to the new are likely to fail.  How many people are even buying 35mm cameras these days?  A perfect example is a camera shop near my house that was going out of business simply because they didn’t make the switch to digital.

Keep Improving…
Rather than staying satisfied with one idea, keep finding ways to improve it.  So your blog looks good, you’ve got subscribers… but what could you do to get more?  Could your design be even better?   Start setting plans for the future, goals to work towards.

Actors make a lot of money, but still they keep working hard and making new movies…  Writers keep on writing, and we all keep striving for something better…

If your new idea fails?  So what, we often succeed by failing!

Personality Types of Success and Failure

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Is the difference between success and failure just a matter of purpose?  I’ve noticed a trend of three types of people, that helps give a better idea into the difference between success and failure.  Which type are you?

The Drifters
You can walk blindly in life with no sense of purpose and never really achieve anything.  These type of people live day to day and never really set any goals for success in the future.  They react to changes rather than anticipate them.  They live fine, but seem to live in the area just between “success” and “failure”.  They drift along in life.

Success Acheivers
These people look ahead and are always planning the next step to success.  They look forward in the future and start planning.   They are never satisfied with their life. They look for the next way to get better, smarter, and add to themselves.

The Failers
They buy into the hype and the programs that they can make money easy.  They don’t do any research, rather they rely entirely on emotion.  They continue to fail because they believe that believing is enough to achieve success.  They buy the infomercials, the get rich quick schemes, yet they never figure out just why they fail.

Start looking at yourself and think, where do you want to go in life?
