There has been plenty of places to download music for completely free, those options are borderline legal.
I’m thinking of such services as emule, limewire, or g2p.org, which let you get music for free, but then you risk the chance of getting found out and going to court as many unfortunate people have.

The Spiral Frog Free Mp3 Service
Spiral Frog looks just like that of yahoo’s music download service, yet as long as you register for an account, you will be able to download music for free. The music on the site is lacking, but they do have a few newer artists like Rihanna’s song Umbrella.

In any case Spiral Frog is worth a look since there is no requirements or payment to signup and listen to what limited music selection they have.

Free Streaming Internet Radio is becoming more and more preveveant as more radio stations are decided to stream their stations free on the internet. Free streaming radio means a lot of choices and the ability to choose from an endless number of stations until you find a song you like.

Sometimes I’m just looking for only one song, but being cheap as I am I don’t want to pay for it. Fortunately there are still a few sites that provide Mp3’s for free.

My Top 3 Sites for Downloading Mp3s

http://www.emp3world.com/ – All the links here have worked, and they seem to updated their charts daily. Don’t expect full albums, but they do have many top hits songs for free. Expect download speeds of 33.6 kbs/sec.

http://www.yourmp3.net/ – Another site featuring a lot of top Mp3s. Expect a lot of ads to clutter everything on the site. Fast downloads speeds of upto 130 kbps.

http://www.seekasong.com/ – Type in an artist name and expect to get at least 10 of their most popular songs listed. Most links work, but make sure you right click. This is also another site full of advertisements.
