Make Phone to SKYPE calls, free international calls

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

Ever wanted a way to call your skype buddies from a normal phone? I’ve found some good Voip services that all you to make free skype calls from a phone and at the same time free international calls from any phone.

MOBIVOX

MOBIVOX is a pretty nice invention. It lets you make your international calls by calling a US Phone number. This way you can call overseas cheap no matter where you are.

You will dial, for example, a number in Detroit. Then you will enter in the destination number and pay much less for your call. It kind of works like a phone card.

Call Your Skype Buddies Free
Using MOBIVOX there is also the option to call any of your Skype friends who are online. This makes things easier when you want to call your buddy who is sitting online.

Make a Free Call Now
On MOBIVOX’s Website they have a free trial call that will let you call just about any phone you want in the entire world for free. I called my girlfriend’s cell phone in Germany and didn’t pay a cent (that would have normally cost me 10 cents per minute.) Those with girlfriends in Mexico might appreciate this service (hint, hint *thats for a friend of mine). Click here to make a free call.

Nimbuzz
If you have a cell phone, Nimbuzz offers software for calling your buddies on MSN, Gtalk, Skype, AIM, Yahoo for free. All you have to do is download the Nimbuzz software onto your phone. Nimbuzz is not quite as easy to use MOBIVOX, but it has a really nice mobile phone interface. In order to use Nimbuzz you’ll need a mobile phone that supports it. Visit Nimbuzz here.

Free Phone Call to any Phone from any Phone, ViaTalk

I’ve covered a few free phone call services before and I can’t say the one I’m reviewing now is much different. ViaTalk, yet another free phone call provider on the net, lets you make 10 minutes of free calls to any phone. Enter your own telephone number on the website and it will connect your phone with any other phone for free.

Honestly there isn’t anything great about ViaTalk. It doesn’t offer anything new. As far as I know it only provides USA to USA calls. On top of that, there isn’t any software support. That means you are limited with only the ability to connect two phones together.

Why not get a Cell Phone?
I’ve noticed how annoying using free Internet calls can be. For one your computer is always on, number two, for services like a free incoming number, your computer also must always be running.

Even if you don’t want to commit to a service plan, prepay phones can be a cheap option. Currently I subscribe to T-Mobile which I pay 10 cents a minute for (buy 1000 minutes for $100, minutes don’t subscribe for one year.) When I want to make longer calls, I use services like ViaTalk or any service from the long list found here.

Free Wake Up Call, Get Woken Up Free Review

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Not sure your alarm is going to work? There are a few websites out there that will help you get woken up. If anything try Wakerupper’s Free Wake Up Call, you can use it to have any text message read to your friends.

TelePixie
If you live in the US, Telepixie is offering a free wakeup call service, in return your wakeup call will consist of an ad. The number you use for the service has to be yours, since their is a verification process. (You can’t make your neighbor get woken up at 2 am). Based on the Telepixie website the service seems relatively new and questionable as to it’s reliability.

Wakerupper
Schedule a free call at anytime you want for free. Probably the funniest because you can write it any message you want to get woken up to. I use the service to play weird messages to my friends.

Snoozester
This one isn’t free, but they give you ten free test credits. They have a special SecureAwake feature. This means thatSnoozester will attempt to call you every 3 minutes for 20 minutes until you answer the call and indicate that you are awake.

IPing
Another wakeup service that charges you to get woken up, but they offer a free trial to test the service out. A month of getting woken up every morning would cost you $5.

Who really has a fax machine anymore? Well if you don’t you can send a free fax with the free fax service from FaxZero.com. Sending a fax any other would simply… cost you something. Of course no one wants to spend money that they don’t have to. This leads to the option of using FaxZero.com to send faxes.

How does it work?
There are some limitations on the service.
1.
Ad on the cover page
2.
Fax 1 document—maximum 3 pages
3. Maximum 2 faxes per day
