Zivity, Social Networking for Hot Girls

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Zivity’s social networking founder Cyan Banister says “Zivity is a cross between Myspace, Playboy and American Idol”.  How it works is, photographers submit their photos and users vote on them.

Overall, Zivity seems to be more like an adult site than a simple hot girl social networking site.  A very high percentage of the photos are adult, making me think this is like youporn for pictures.  Though in a statement on Zivities website,(Over 50% of current models are clothed on Zivity).

Earn money on Zivity
In order to vote you’ll need to pay $1 per vote. The photographer will get 80 cents for every vote received.  This way the photographer can earn for his photos.  I’m not quite sure how effective this will be in getting good revenue, I guess we’ll find out when Zivity ends its beta program.

Want to see what’s on Zivity?
Currently it’s in beta testers only.  But, you can still try to get register for a beta account (I’ve heard it’s hard to get a beta account).

Wordpress: BuddyPress leading to a more Social Future?

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

BuddyPress, being created under the same company as wordpress, Automatic, is hinting towards a more social networking future with the current message being left on BuddyPress’ website. “BuddyPress will transform a vanilla installation of WordPress MU into a social network platform.”

The current designer recently wrote in his blog,”I’ve been all-consumed in WordPress for the past two years now, (and) I think almost every single site I’ve built since working as a freelancer has used WordPress in some way,” “To get the opportunity to concentrate fully on WordPress every day, and also the chance to help mold WordPress in new ways, is a fantastic one not to be missed.”"

Since the designer has already spent a lot of time working with Wordpress, we can see why he’s the perfect fit. Little training and hopefully stick towards the features of Wordpress we like the best. Who can know what kind of social future that is in store for us?

Improve your Social Life With Blogging

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

A new study has tied an improvement in personal social life with blogging.  The study claims that: “On the whole, all MySpace users contacted felt more at ease and less stressed after spending 2 months of steady social networking on the popular site,” according to the Swinburne University Technology in Melbourne, Australia.

The study claims that people who blogged felt more connected to a group of like minded individuals and overall a great stress reliever.  They also felt that the could rely on others for help.

When blogging, try to get active with bloggers who write about topics similar to yours.  Try contacting them via email and ask questions.  Though a blogging social life isn’t quite the same as a normal social life, it can be a great way to find people all around the planet with similar interests as yours.
