Yahoo Finance actually takes you inside the house with photos of this magestic palace. Link

Take the large ballroom with 80% of its ceiling covered in crystal chandeliers. Does anyone need a house like this? No. But if you have billions of dollars why not?
I’d rather use my 2 billion dollars to buy 10,000 $200,000 homes around the world, but that is just my opinion…

I found myself at the casino the other day wondering which casino game I would have the best odds in. Everyone knows that in every casino game, the house always wins, and casino games always have the odds against you. It’s one of the riskiest ways to try to earn money.

Overall Blackjack has some of the best odds in the casino, along with craps. However all those old people sitting on the slot machines have the worst odds (besides roulette). You’ll also notice that the higher the amount of the slots, the better chance you have at winning. Putting your money in the 5 cent slots is actually riskier than the $100 slots. Still, people prefer the 5 cent slots simply because it takes less money to play, where as with blackjack, you’re throwing down $10 per hand often.

However, if you find yourself at the casino, here is a list of some games with the best odds to play with the % being the houses advantage.

Blackjack Single Deck 0.20%
Blackjack Double Deck 0.35%
Blackjack Four Decks 0.51%
Blackjack Six Decks 0.60%
Blackjack Eight Decks 0.63%

Craps Pass/Come 1.41%
Craps Don’t Pass/Don’t Come 1.40%

Slot Machines $.05 15.20%
Slot Machines $.25 10.20%
Slot Machines $.50 9.10%
Slot Machines $1 8.10%
Slot Machines $5 5.50%
Slot Machines $25 5.30%
Slot Machines $100 3.90%

There are more Millionaires than ever with over 10.7 million millionaires.  In Europe the Swiss lead the path with the most quickly growing millionaires, China itself is producing more and more millionaires.

If you counted all the money in the world, you’d end up with 10.97 trillon US-Dollars.  That leaves plenty of room for more millionaires to be created.  In fact, 18 percent of all worldwide households have at least $100,000 in value.

Of course everyone knows that with rising inflation and energy costs, a million today isn’t what a million was 5 years ago.  In any case, any millionaire is more than well off and can live that sweet life we all dream about.

What about those non  Millionaires?

People are living better and better each year no matter how much you earn.  Would you rather be a rich person in 1912 or a poor person today?  With increasing technology, even the poor can live better than ever, with even those earning minimum wage being able to afford what is needed for survival and even still finding extra cash for outside entertainment.

Already there are plans to unveal WiMax the city wide Wifi internet that should be a major competitor to broadband.  One of the goals of WiMax is providing a wireless alternative to cable and DSL for broadband access.

Plans have unfolded to launch WiMax right here in my city with access as low as $10 for lower income residents.

Why WiMax?
Consider that when you are always connected to the internet, the possibilites are endless.

A threat to the media companies
For one, calls using a cell will drop dramatically since you can make most calls using voip, which is free.

Radio stations might lose listeners to internet radio stations.

Local TV stations have to start offering internet broadcasts to compete with emerging internet tv stations.

When everything goes global and everything worldwide is placed in your fingertips, local media starts to worry. Who’s going to chose them when they can chose anyone? This little network puts choices in everyone’s hands, whether it be electronic or even internet shopping. Already retail stores are feeling the pinch against ebay and other online retailers…

There are four ways of ways to spend your money that I’ve come across.  The way you spend your money has a lot of reasoning behind why the rich get richer and the poor seem to just get poorer and poor.

Poor Person Way to Spend Money
Spend 100% of your income.   This way of spending is bound to send you into financial ruin.  Sure you’ll have some awesome stuff, but you’re bound to wind up poor.

Even Worse Way to Spend Money
Keep borrowing money and spending even more than that.   There are people who get credit credits and use credit cards to pay off other credit cards.  It’s like a juggling act, but it won’t go on forever.

Invest 10% and spend 90%
This is the typical financial plan.  It sounds like a great idea.  But when do you actually start saving that 10%?  I’m still getting those student loans paid off.  Then you have a car bill to pay.  Then it’s a house.  By the time you start saving the 10%, it just might be too late!

Save 90% and spend 10%
Sounds impossible right?  This is one reason why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.  The rich can continue to invest 90% of their money and easily live off a measly 10%.  Lets say you make $30,000 a month and live off $3000 a month which is quite possible.  Meanwhile you are adding in $27,000 into your account. That adds up quick.

It would take someone 18 months to save half a million dollars at $27,000 a month in income.  What happens at half a million?  You can invest that money and earn a good $25,000 a year extra on top of your income with a good 5% return rate.

The More Money You Save…
Means more money you can invest.   If you spend all your cash you can’t invest it.  It’s nice to live in the now, but someday you want to spend all day on the beach right?

If you had 6 million dollars, to spend on whatever you wanted, would you buy a super sweet home theater system? The following home theater center has got to be the most expensive home theater I have ever seen in my entire life. I mean for 6 million dollars, you could probably buy a small movie theater. But hey, if you want to have the best sound, the best screen on top of everything else, you got to think big!

As if anyone actually needs this many speakers for their home theater system center?   The system uses a 18- x 10-foot Stewart screen, a dvd system that actually upscales movies from blu-ray’s 1080 resolution, and of course a couch with place for 3 people.  Who needs all those crazy lights up above?
