It seems that a few users have been having problems with Betamax services, claiming that they have discontinued using their free services and instead have been not only freezing accounts, but stopped giving free calls. So far users have reported that Nonoh free voip has stopped giving free calls.
According to tipsity, the following services may be affected: Voipstunt, 12voip, LowrateVoip, VoipWise, Nonoh. Users have reported problems such as not being able to connect calls and not getting minutes free.
JustVoip not affected
I can confirm that as a user of JustVoip, that my service has not yet been affected. Currently it is unknown whether this is a Betamax wide problem or just temporary glitch.

I have been affected. My account has been frozzen on justvoip (I lost 32 euro, on voipwise (I lost 2.37 Euro) and on nonoh, I lost 2.72 euro. Very shmeful indeed. Because, the customer services do not reply to you.

i have been trying to call since yesterday when i paid money in my account but i hear the person but the person does not hear me. i do not know what is happening and i am losing a lot of credit. please could you try to refund me the lost credit as i have not been able to communicate? could you also rectify the problem of me hearng what the person i am calling is saying but they not hearing what i am saying? please respond urgently to my plea. my voipstunt user name is promiso664.

hey im facing the same problem..everytime i try to make the free calls it charges me 1 pence at each side..i tried to top up my account but it didnt help and until now i have tried to write to nonoh 4-5 times with no response..my problem is that if i use my own comp it charges but when i use the computer at my work it calls for free..any solution??

i got also problems with low rate voip.i lost 8.90.reason of freez my account.so i got other account too same problems.so i lost their too my money and now even i cant make anynew account on voipvoice.its not reliable anymore.

even i am also facing the same problem….i m able to hear the attendees voice but the the attendee is not able to hear me….i m juz losing money…i have paid already 15 euros approx without any use… the highest irritating this is tht they dont have a customer care….am i cheated…guys plz help out if u have any solutions to these?

I dont have any kind of these problems with LOWRATEVOIP or NONOH. Has anyone experienced problems with buying more credit? It seems Betamax dont want my money, neither does nonoh. Can someone help `?

Same problem as most others hear. the other party can not hear me. What is such a joke about all of this is they have a great business model here. But because as they say “we have a small team, so we may not reply …etc…” they will lose many customers. Hey…. I have an Idea instead of crying to us how small your team is, hire some CS people… ya think?? If that is not done I will shy away from any “Batemax” company. but we will have to watch out for “new corporations” popping up if the problems persists for these guys. IOW if a new VOIP superstar hits the scene, I hope that someone out there can report if it’s the same bunch of greedy pricks. If that’s the case run don’t walk.

I’ve been having problems with buying more credit. Looks like JustVoio doesn’t want my business.
Customer help is not helpful at all, they just don’t answer my e-mails.
Does anyone know other companies with similar rates? Skype is way more expensive.

By the way that is not a clitch, they kind of blacklist the numbers or ip, (just a quess) Best way to avoid loosing the money is to pay with PAYPAL and than if it does not work, make a complaint and they will immediately book the money back, (I conclude from this that they try to cheat people under the prtense of technical issues.

overcharging!!! surely this is illegal. the call rates shot up from 0.09 to 4.5 in 3 days however the rates page still shows it being under 1 cent per minute. i have been trying to contact them but they dont seem to reply.somebody please help.

I have been using nonoh for quite some time now, and its always been working fine. Past one week, things have been weird. The nonoh mobile service has stopped working with my O2 number, and today, even the website is not opening. This is just great.
Please let me know, how to contact somebody in customer service.

I have a nonoh acocunt and also account in intervoip.
I dialed the free access no. of intervoip and when I checked the balance in my acocunt the money was deducted from my nonoh account. In my nonoh acocunt I have a mobile no. of a different country. But then too I don’t know how did the money got deducted form that account. I paid 1cent more for each min.I have used different credit cards to make both the accounts.

Hi,
I have done a bank trasfer to nonoh account but still after 15 days the credit is not shown in my account. Their customer service page is always down and Betamax is not helping to sort out issue. Anybody is having any idea for it.
