You are on your cell phone and want to make an international phone, yet you know if you call directly over your normal carrier it’s going to be a very costly call.  So, you use connectmeanywhere to call a local number and get connected via voip to make a low cost international call.

Example: I want to call Germany from my cell phone while in the US.  I call connectmeanywhere’s local number and they connect me to Germany for 2.5 cents per minute.  If I would call with my local carrier I’d probably pay at least 2 dollars per minute. (I once ran a $100 phone bill very quickly calling internationally.)

When buying credit you can purchase units in 5, 10, 20 or 50.

Though i haven’t personally tried connectmeanywhere, it seems so far to be a pretty good option for calling internationally without any voip equipent.
