What a pity, we though soon we would have the new Google phone, and now it turns out we won’t even see the Google Phone until at least 2009.  What happened with the Google Phone?

Handset maker High Tech Computer (HTCKF) is “having structural problems to incorporate Google’s demanded feature set”; HTC is “demanding a guaranteed minimum revenue surety from Google”, from which Trip Chowdhry of Global Equities Research concludes that “Probably HTC does not think there will be enough demand for GPhone.”

In 2009 we are expecting to a phone by Samsung released with the Google Android Software. So any hopes to see some new phones released might be crushed, but wait till 2009 and we should see a variety of new Google phones.
