Cellity has created a new free sms program that will allow you to send free sms using a software program installed on your iPhone or Windows Mobile Phone.  Installing the Cellity Mobile Phone program lets you send emails, free sms, and make cheaper international calls.

However, to make free sms calls, if you read the fine print, you’ll discover that Cellity has to be installed on the person you want to send an sms to, otherwise you’ll need to pay 7 cents per sms.

From Cellity: “you also save even when you want to do text messaging with somebody who is still not using cellity. All you need to do is select the standard text message option and send out text messages for only 7 cents each”

From the start of Cellity, you’d think the service is completely free, but once you read the fine print you’ll discover the service isn’t as great as you’d imagine.  Free email?  We’d prefer to stick with our own.  Free SMS?  The other user needs Cellity installed which few if none of your friends probably do.  Free Calling?  Calls cost a fee.  We’ll stick to skype for mobile or using JustVoip.
