A voip application has been released for the G Phone with iSkoot now available for G phone users. iSkoot has so far allowed Skype use on windows mobile. With the early voip application, G Phone users can start off using Skype early, hopefully saving them for using using up all of their T Mobile users.
To make calls with Skype, you will need credit. However, you can make free calls using services like 1800free411. Just call the number and ask to be connected for free with the number you need. Otherwise to avoid that work around, Skype itself has pretty competitve rates, as low as 1.9 cents per minute.
Jim Hudak, iSkoot Vice President of Business Development was quoted say, “We are honored to be the first mobile VoIP application available in the Android Market because we are dedicated to bringing carrier-grade Web communications services to mobile phones and platforms around the globe.”
