We posted how to get a free usa phone number with gizmo awhile ago, but since then Gizmo has added some new features including a new mobile application for using Gizmo on your mobile phone.
Free 775 Incoming USA Phone Number
775 area code numbers are free using Gizmo’s program. As long as you don’t forward your calls, the number is free. You will need to provide your credit card, but they won’t charge you. I’ve been using the free 775 service for over a year without charges.

I tried to sign up for a 775 number using the link provided. There wasn’t a direct link on that page for signup, but after watching the short “What is Area775″ presentation, there was a signup link. However clicking on it results in an invalid security certificate warning. I’m afraid to ignore the warning since I need to give them a credit card #. Has their site been hacked? Anyone know what’s going on?
