It’s Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry, two outlaws who decide to go straight. Though they seek amnesty there are plenty of people who want Heyes and Curry. When the actor playing Hannibal Heyes committed suicide, the role was replaced, but it seemed that interest for Westerns became less and less until Alias Smith and Jones was canceled after only two seasons.
