“Nokia says that one quarter of the entertainment that we use will have been created by internet users or our “peer groups” rather than coming from traditional sources like TV, Radio, and Films.
Nokia says that content will be created and shared in the form of social media. This could be anything from a remixed track to a video created of a night out. This could be then further edited. This is being driven by the basic human desire to compare and contrast, create and communicate.” -Source TechDigest.TV.
How do you get your entertainment?
Since websites like YouTube have arrived, and television stations have begun to broadcast their content online, I’ve found myself watching more internet entertainment than actually turning on my television. Not only is this cheaper than buying a massive cable tv package, but I find the content more engaging and we, at the same time, get to choose the content we want to view rather than have someone tell us what we want to watch.
