Who has used Tivo’s Amazon Unbox to purchase movies from Amazon online.  The service has been available a year now and allows users to purchase movies directly from the internet.  However, how worth it is it use Amazon’s service.  For one thing, as soon as you  delete the software, they delete your movies!  It seems like a good idea, having convience, being able to download movies on your Tivo easy.

But, look at the downsides to the whole operation.  Like I said, your movies are stuck on your device.  The movies are a lot more expensive than renting them.  You can never move them off your device.  No more loaning the film out to your friend.  No everyone has to come to you for the party.
