The X Effect is a new series from MTV where both halves of an ex couple are invited to a resort.  They think it is going to be a romantic weekend, but little do they know that the new partners of the ex’s will be sent away to a secret location.  At the same time the broken up couple are left together.  The new partners are left to spy on the exs to see what happens.
