Pitchfork launches online Video Service

By admin | Apr 7, 2008

Pitchfork launches it’s own video music service, yes, another YouTube, but this one’s got a small feel. Pitchfork isn’t out to conquer the video world and become your sole source of video entertainment, rather they’ve got a rather small feel, but it’s all about the music.pitchfork

Things that suck about Pitchfork…
include the fact that we can’t embed any video files… (you can’t share those Pitchfork videos on your blog.) Searching for videos was not the best experience. Changing the quality settings on the music videos just restarts the video.

So what did I like?
Support for HD. Who wants crappy non HD videos anymore?

On a postive note, Pitchfork will be showing full-length, music-related films. This week they’ve got with the Pixies documentary loudQUIETloud. (check it out on One Week Only)
