isoHunt just one of the many Bit Torrent website engines was targeted by the MPAA a few years ago. Now the MPAA has filed a response to the judge’s request for more information on how BitTorrent and BitTorrent tracker sites work.
isoHunt has said that it is now different than a search engine since it simply only indexes the files and does not host any. Torrent Spy lost a slightly similar case, but in their case Torrent Spy destroyed the evidence which we all know is definitely not the thing to do during a trial.
All we can hope is that the judge realizes that search engines shouldn’t be responsible for their search results and the use of their users on the site.
