Senator Joe Lieberman, the head of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security is pretty upset about Google allow terrorist to post their videos on YouTube.
Mr. Lieberman sent a note last week to ask Google to take down any terrorism videos down. However, in the end, Google ended up leaving many of them up simply because they did not violate the terms of service. Many of them did not show violence or even promote hate.
In reality Lieberman’s wish to block terrorist YouTube videos is probably senseless. Would you really want to try to prevent the ability for the Government to see these videos and probably get a clearly idea about their location? Besides there are so many video sites out there that they can post their videos in more locations than just YouTube. Why should the Gov have to go out try to find terrorism videos, why not have them all in one convenient location, YouTube?
