Family Ties is all about the Keaton family, Steven and his wife Elyse, both flower children of the 1960’s. Of course interestingly enough the show managed to blend politics, comedy, and family together to create a show that was rated number 2 when in aired.  At the same time Family Ties manages to touch base on some serious issues like suicide and drugs.
