Will YouTube launch the ability to post even full length movies? YouTube sent to its content partners last week in which it says that long-form content will be allowed. Rather than only 10 minute length videos, content partners will be able to upload files as large as 1 Gb, enough to display an entire full length movie.

YouTube has already made a few exceptions to the time limit on its videos. Take the video made by Charles Trippy that is over 4 hours long…

There was also the full film ‘Harold Buttleman, Daredevil Stuntman’ FULL FEATURE FILM which runs at 1 hour and a half long…

What about Monetization?
The longer format allows for more ads to be inserted into the content according to Fortune Magazine, after YouTube has been under a lot of pressure to better monetize their website.
