Metered Broadband Internet, Would You Switch?

By admin | Jun 3, 2008

Current I enjoy internet that is not metered, allowing me to download as much as I want, but there are services out there such as Time Warner that are slowly introducing Metered Internet Services.  You’ll get decent internet speeds such as  768k per second with a 5 gig limit for $30 a month or 15 mbs per second with a 40 gig limit for $54.00.

Is this a way to slowly regulate the internet?

Just imagine, Time Warner allows unlimited access to their websites and unlimited downloads as long as its Time Warner, while access to other websites will be limited thus allowing Time Warner to gain control over visitors to its websites.

Would you pay for metered broadband to save money?  Or do you just have to have internet videos and movies?
