Seth McFarlane creator of the Family Guy series is taking his new cartoon in a new direction.  Seth McFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy with be available only online.  McFarlane’s short series will contain videos less than 5 minutes long, but which he describes as edgier.

It’s been said that McFarlane likes the fact that his new Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy series will not be constrained by the FCC’s regulations on broadcast TV content.  In any case, this partnership of McFarlane with Google should help out both partners.  McFarlane gets ad funding outside of TV and hopefully Google gets a much needed boost. Google shares for 2008 have been underperforming and could benefit from a much needed boost in their stock prices.
