We will be able to watch the Olympics online on NBC for these 2008 summer olympics. NBC plans to let us watch all 2,200 hours online for free, right on their website NBCOlympics.com, with ads making up most of the revenue for the company on this Olympic website.

Though the deal sounds good, be being to watch the 2008 Summer Olympics on NBC is not as sweet a deal as you would think. NBC is placing plenty of restrictions on who even can watch the Olympics online on their site.

Some Current Restrictions
The Olympics online will be viewable by Windows Vista viewers only. This means that even Linux and Windows XP users most likely won’t be able to watch the Olympics Online. We are also pretty sure that only the USA will be able watch this online Olympics coverage and all other countries will be blocked from access.

In addition to that, if you’ve made it through all these loops, you need to have Adobe’s Silverlight installed.
