MPAA Afraid Gun Can’t Shoot Through Screen

By admin | Jul 24, 2008

You know your organization is bored when the biggest concern is blocked a segment that features a guy shooting through a screen. The MPAA is demanding that preview trailers that show someone pointing a gun directly at the screen to actually change the video or cut that scene out of the ad.

MTV Movies Blog Said “For years, the MPAA has prohibited weapons from being pointed at the “viewer” in advertising, presumably for fear that it will freak them out. That’s why you always see guns pointed at angles on movie posters and in film trailers.”

The solution? Put a walkie talkie in his hand.
