In an effort to make more advertising revenue for YouTube, Google has added even bigger ads to find a way to earn back some of the money it invest in YouTube. These ads which will be adde to the main page, are set to attract new advertising revenue, but the main problem is the fact that many users don’t ever make it to the YouTube frontpage.
Most users visiting YouTube, visit the site indirectly through videos embeded on other websites, and links directly to YouTube pages, but not the mainpage.
Will this help earn back some of the 1.65 billion it invested? It’s a start, but still it is not the end all solution. It is hard monetizing those weird cat videos and crazy home videos, so YouTube needs to still figure out another more effective solution.
