Graboid Cancels Free Users Accounts, No More Free Graboid
Published by admin on August 24th, 2008 | Tagged news

Enjoy Graboid while you can.  The awesome free video download service is free no more as Grabod cancels it’s free accounts at the end of August.  What does this mean?  After August everyone will have to pay for a subscription to Graboid in order to use their fast downloading network.

Personally I loved Graboid for it’s speed and reliability, all the movies seemed to work great whenever I downloaded using Graboid.

Written on Graboid’s Blog:

“Due to significant abuse of the free program and peak load issues that have reduced the speed and reliability of the program for all users, we turned our recurring free version into a one month free trial some time ago. On August 3rd, users who were on the older recurring free plan will be converted as well, which means recurring free access will be turned off completely on their monthly anniversary date.

Simultaneously, we’ll be making the one month free trial better by increasing bandwidth to 5 GB and extending video availability to the full 200 days of access.”

So does this mean users can create a new free trial each month?  We aren’t sure but for now, be sure to download all you can this month before Graboid cancels it’s free accounts alltogether.

Well basically this info is incorrect.. So i will post whats going on atm.

I created a free account with Graboid yesterday, and I was allowed 4000 MB of bandwidth – 4GB not 5GB.

You have the trial period for 30 days and then you have to subscribe. If you have an in-active account for 30 days however your account gets deleted, and then after you can create a new account and re-install graboid. I am waiting 30 days and then I shall be testing this, because i am not sure if it remembers your old (deleted) account or not. If it does its pointless, because the account is deleted and its unfair not to let people make a new account if thier old account gets deleted.

I will post back again with more info asap.

      Thanks
