Joost found itself a failure using a download client rather than focusing everything directly on the internet. Meanwhile, Hulu has found success in delivering videos to the web with advertisements, no downloads needed.

Can Joost Come Back With a Direct To Web Application?

Joost simply doesn’t offer the shows that Hulu does, and very few niche shows.  Besides that fact, users will have to download a plugin to be able to use Joost.  It seems like the lack of shows and loss of easeability are going to really hinder Joost and it’s ability to make a comeback.

Now all we can do is wait and see how the new web application works out…
