Over half a billion dollars for the Dark Knight with the total money made for the Dark Knight hitting a whopping 500 million plus. With the total money made being half a million all those promotions efforts were definately worth it.  Who knows what money can be still be made off DVD sales of the Dark Knight.

James Cameron’s 1997 film Titanic, made $600.8 million and still remains at #1.
