I’ve been using Replay Media Catcher to record and download YouKu videos, but if you noticed, when you download YouKu videos, your download will stop after 7 minutes. The reason is because YouKu videos are actually divided into 7 minute segments. If you leave record mode on when watch a YouKu video, Replay Media Catcher will actually record each 7 minute segment as you watch the video.
When I watched and recorded the latest Fringe episode using YouKu I ended up with multiple 7 minute segments. Just use a program to connect the parts together and you’ll have one video file, or what I do is add each segment to a playlist on winamp and watch it that way.
Replay Media Catcher recently wrote me with a solution for those that own the newest version of Replay Media Catcher:
Replay Media Catcher’s latest update fixes this issue. To check this, go to Tools, Settings, RTMP Plug-in, Options, and make sure Super Download is Unchecked.
Another solution might be trying BitRecorder.
