It looks as though RealDvd has become victim to a shutdown.  RealDvd has lost the battle and is getting shutdown permanently.  Judge Maralyn Hall Patel just ruled as of yesterday that a temporary restraining order blocking sales of the software will stay in place indefinitely until she decides whether it violates the DMCA.

It’s a real shame since before the shutdown RealDvd was a real solution for copying your dvds to your hard drive.  If you are looking for another solution besides RealDVD we would recommend RatDVD which will keep the DVD menus but compress the Dvd into the same size as a DIVX.
