GI Joe is the classic cartoon show that went from action figures to full cartoon episodes on tv.  The show starts something like: Yo Joe. He’ll fight for freedom where ever there’s trouble. G.I. Joe is there. G.I. Joe. A real American Hero. G.I. Joe is there. It’s G.I. Joe against Cobra and Destro fighting to save the day. He never gives up. He’s always there. Fighting for freedom over land and air. G.I. Joe. A real American Hero. G.I. Joe is there.

The most popular series lasted 3 years in the 80s, until more full episodes were released in the 90s which last 3 years as well but was much less popular than the original GI Joe series.
