During the latest writers strike for TV, they had to keep themselves busy, so they created the site Strike.tv featuring work they created during the strike.

There are TV shows created for the internet by such stars as SNL’s Kristen Wiig, The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi, as well as other writers who have created different series like  Global Warming, a romantic comedy or take Bob Newhart is in The Challenge. Writers from The Office created the serie House Poor.

Evetually there should be up to 40 online shows hosted on the site.

Most of the series on Strike TV are pretty entertaining.  Though must of the shows don’t venture over 5 minutes, you can really see the difference in the show quality, since we have writers who have written for television as well as a few more well known actors and actresses.

Of courses since the writers were in control of everything they were free to explore whatever they wanted without thinking about the networks they usually write for.
