Why is Hulu our number one pick for watching tv on the web. Take a figure like Hulu showed for September, 142 million streams. This figure is technically supposed to be US only but because of hacks, people have been watching Hulu abroad, myself included.
Will Hulu online TV beat out YouTube?
Though Hulu does seem to increase its traffic each month, it probably will never rise to popularity of YouTube. Users can’t upload their own content and the country restrictions also hurt it’s chances at being at the YouTube level. But, if we look at it another way, both of thee websites are aimed at a different purpose. Hulu is internet tv, and YouTube is personal videos.
What also is helpful to Hulu is the fact that advertisements take up a lot less time than the normal television advertisements making it seem almost better to watch tv on Hulu than when the show airs.
