The back story behind Spiderman is that he was bitten by a radioactive spider, gained incredible strength and now uses that to help innocent people and fight the bad guys.
This Spiderman series is somewhat cgi and takes a newer approach with newer music, younger characters, and even the voice of Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser, Harold and Kumar movies).
This Spiderman series only lasted 13 episodes in 2003 with 10 of these episodes now online on Hulu.
