The Fat Albert and Cosby Kids series takes place in Philadelphia and is about a group of urban adolescant kids.  Fat Albert is actually voiced by Bill Cosby as well as a number of other characters including Mushmouth, Dumb Donald, and Bill.

Fat Albert appeared in a few different series.  Hey, Hey, Hey, It’s Fat Albert in 1969, Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids in 1972, The New Fat Albert Show in 1979, The Adventures of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids in 1984.
