Full episodes of the Angelic Layer anime series are online to watch. The original mange for Angelic Layer called Battle Doll Angelic Layer was adapted into a 26 episode anime series. Back in 2003, a set of Seven volumes of videos were released of the Angelic Layer saga.
Angelic Layer is about a 7th grader who moves to Tokyo. Here he learns of the battle doll Athena and becomes interested in learning about Angelic Layer a popular game where players buy and custom designed dolls known as the angels. These Angel dolls can move by mental control on a field called the layer. However since the layers are quite expensive, most players pay by the hour in cyber cafe type venues.
