Avenger is set on Mars after the planet has been colonized.  Now on Mars humans live in different dome city states.  Since resources are rare, resources are divided up according to battles between fighters of each dome city state.  Outside these domes live a population of people known as the Barbaroi who have to feel the harsh wilderness of the planet.
