In Maple Story we find a story in which about 10 years ago the word tree protect peace and order of the world. It was target by Zakum an evil organization. Together four races fought against the Zakum. In order to save itself, the World Tree activated the self destruction to protect itself. After the World Tree was destroyed most of the races had nothing left, so a number of them went to Maple Island thinking the ones who stayed would die.
Now in the present the main character, Al, wants to revive the World Tree. Al and his companions begin their journey to seek the seed of the World Tree.
