In the series Mushi-Uta we find a story taking place in a future in which some strange insects start appearing. These insects, known as the Mushi, can control the thoughts and dreams of people in return for supernatural powers. Kakko gets to know a younger girl, who without him knowing, is really an escapee from a secret prison that is possessed by these insect Mushi. The young girl, Shiika, is getting tracked own by the garden military froce, however there is resistance by the secretive Ladybird.
