The classic spinoff from the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lou Grant is now online to watch full episodes. Lou Grant became a drama series, much unlike Mary Tyler Moore and was the first successful one-hour show from MTM Enterprises. The series premiered from September 20, 1977 until September 13, 1982.
To depart from the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lou Grant had just been fired from his job at WJM-TV, and had moved to Los Angeles to work for a newspaper. The series sent Lou Grant out to cover news stories, with many of the main plots revealing problems of the people covered in the stories as well as frustrations and challenges reporters experienced to get the stories.
