In the series Princess Tutu, we find the story about a writer by the name of Drosselmeyer. His stories become real and was simply killed by those who feared his power. In such a result, a prince and a raven were trapped forever in eternal battle. The raven broke into the world and the prince followed him. Drosselmeyer also managed to write about himself so he is still able to control events despite having died. When he sees a duck watching a sad prince he decides to turn the duck intoa girl. However if she quacks she turns into a duck. Going into the water turns her human once more.
Overall Princess Tutu takes on a lot of mixed fairy tale elements. It also takes much of its origins from the ballet swan lake.
