Now on Hulu is the crazy documentary about reefer (marijuana) called Reefer Madness. The film meant to exploit reefer as a drug of madness in an exagerated documentary produced in 1936. The film brings tragic events that ensue when high school students are lured by pushers to try “marijuana”: a hit and run accident, manslaughter, suicide, rape, and descent into madness. Reefer Madness goes further to bring about the point “the next tragedy may be that of your daughter’s… or your son’s… or yours, or yours…” “TELL YOUR CHILDREN”.
The film became popular just for its campy values and the fact that is the perfect example of a midnight movie. A colorized dvd released came about on April 20, 2004 in reference to 4/20.
