Episodes of the famed anime series Saiunkoku Monogatari are now online to watch with English subtitles. Saiunkoku Monogatari had a total of 41 episodes which aired from April 8, 2006 – February 24, 2007. A second series of 39 episodes also aired from April 7, 2007 – March 8, 2008.

The plot to Saiunkoku Monogatari begins in a world that consists of 8 different provinces each named after a different color. A new emperor takes the reigns named Shi Ryuuki who basically has no interests in court mannerns and flaunts his interests toward men. Now we have another girl named Shuurei who though born of an important family has trouble gettings ends to meet. Now she becomes a concubine in order to help him become a better ruler. Once getting to the imperial palace Shuurei once again revives her dream of one day becoming a court official. Now she tried to move forward toward her dreams while at the same time trying to avoid the advances of the Emperor.
