The story of Yuyu Hakusho beings when a 14 year old baned Yusuke Urameshi winds up dead. He pushed a child out of the way and sacraficed himself, something that even suprised the Spirit World, since Yuyu wasn’t exactly the nicest guy. As he actually wasn’t supposed to die, they are giving him a chance at resurection and for coming back to life. He has to become a Spirit Detective, a job which leads him into all sorts of scenarios whether it be further investigating something or ending up in a tournament for fighting.
