Episodes of the classic series Cagney and Lacey are now online to watch. Cagney and Lacey first aired March 25, 1982 and ended May 16, 1988. It was a breakthrough television series considering that it was the first serious drama series with two female leads. The setting was the fictionalized version of Manhattan’s 14th Precinct. Though it was first canceled after the first season, Cagney and Lacey was brought back after a large writing campaign.
In Cagney and Lacey, Mary Beth Lacey and Chris Cagney are teamed up as NYPD detectives in this landmark series. Their opposing personalities mesh to make this one of the great crime-fighting duos of all time. Episodes lasted one hour long each, with a total of 125 shows making up the entire series.
