Regularly the daily show with Jon Stewart has been updated to bring you the latest episodes each day online. Jon Steward usually airs new episodes each weekday night at 11 pm Eastern time followed by the Colbert directly following on Comedy Central.
Jon Stewart has been covering political news for quite sometime now, bringing a more “honest” look at what is going on, but bringing a comedic spin to it. The Daily Show first aired July 21, 1996, with Craig Kilborn as the host until December 1998. In 1999 we saw Jon Stewart take over and make some changes focusing more on political news. Though the Daily Show calls itself a fake news program, some have asserted that many of today’s youth primarily get their news from the Daily Show.
The best thing about the Daily Show being online is the fact that you don’t need Comedy Central or cable tv to watch this show each day. Sure you’ll be behind by one day, but at that point the news is still relevant. In any case they’ll be playing the episode from the night before as a rerun the entire day anyway.
