I recently tried out Hide My Net out as a way to access BBC iPlayer and UK channels via Zattoo. So far Hide My Net seems to be the cheapest option at about $5 USD per month to access both USA VPN (to watch Hulu) and UK VPN to watch BBC iPlayer and UK Zattoo abroad.
After connecting to Hide My Net, I’ve been able to watch all the UK channels via Zattoo without much a problem. This includes BBC 1, 2, 3, 4, as well as Channel 4. Occasionally the connection will have a slight hickup and you’ll have a few moments without video, but otherwise, it runs well. The only problem I did have was trying to access BBC iPlayer. It was as if bbc.co.uk had blocked my access. I could access news.bbc.co.uk, but it just wouldn’t let me access bbc.co.uk including the iPlayer. Still any other on demand services worked, just not BBC.
For $5 a month for access to both UK and USA VPN Proxies, this is a great deal for anyone who’s abroad, or looking to watch TV from the USA or the UK.

Thank you for your review. The problem you were experiencing was likely an MTU issue. Sites with MTU issues typically sit at “waiting for response…” (at the bottom of your internet browser). We offer an MTU fix package for windows xp, there are similar fixes available for vista. If you cannot access a site for some reason please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you work through it.
Thanks again.
