After installing Hotspot Shield to use as a USA Vpn while in Buenos Aires, I discovered that the service seems to deliver an ad hell, giving you sure a VPN for the USA but plenty of popup ads that never stop. To pay for its service, Hotspot Shield becomes more like an ad delivery service.
Upon starting up HotSpot Shield, I was bombarded by a number of different ads. Not only that, but they didn’t stop, they just kept coming in a stream of ads as if straight from hell. My conclusion was just to uninstall HotSpot Shield since the ads were too much to justify using a free vpn.
The other reason I can’t justify using HotSpot Shield as a free vpn is the fact that services like Hulu have blocked access from Hotspot Shield altogether. Conclusion? Buy a VPN.
